Canadian and Quebec Culture and Communication, an Online English Short Program

About This Course

Improve your English communication skills for conversational, academic and professional settings while learning about Canadian arts, society and culture. This program offers a dynamic online experience through participation in theme-based tasks and activities, group work, team-projects and a one-to-one "buddy" program with your Canadian student peers. You will develop competence and confidence in using English and become ready for your next international study experience. This is a 3 credit course.

Proficiency Requirements

English language skills minimum level: A2

All students must take the UQAM online placement test before the start of the program.

Important note: A minimum of 10 students is required to open the class.

Preliminary Schedule

This preliminary schedule is subject to modification.

Real-time (synchronous) classes will be held online from 8:00 till 11:00 Japanese Standard Time (JST). An additional 4 hours (approximately) a day will be dedicated to working independently and with other students on groups tasks. A short written final report may be required after the end of the program.
